teacher grayson is one of the newest additions to our staff! he is a part time assistant float teacher, primarily working at our main street location. the kids love teacher grayson! he is currently enrolled at the university of idaho, majoring in secondary education. grayson says he loves working in a childcare setting because he gets hands-on experience in the field he wants to work in long-term, and he gets to see real life applications of what he is learning in his classes.

Teacher Brooke is the Lead teacher in our combined baby / waddler class at site 2 on main street. she has been a great addition to our team! brooke has experience working with children, starting several years back at another childcare center in moscow. she also has an abundance of babysitting experience. in high school, brooke also worked with special needs students. this further demonstrates her passion of working with kids! brooke is currently working towards achieving her child development associate's credential. ​
Outside of teaching, brooke enjoys the outdoors, doing things like hunting, fishing, hiking and traveling with her family! she also enjoys baking.
she says, "At an early age, i discovered that i enjoy teaching and working with children. I have always wanted to become a teacher. I enjoy working with kids because i feel as though it is important to help them work on and improve their learning and development. working with children always brightens my day and i strive to reciprocate that joy for the students at pelc."

Teacher Sarah is the lead Pre-K teacher at Site 1. Sarah first discovered her passion for working with children while volunteering at a children's therapeutic riding center, located in her hometown of Austin, Texas. Since volunteering, Sarah has cherished working with children of all ages. With experience as both a dedicated nanny and daycare teacher, Sarah moved to Idaho to further pursue her dream of studying Elementary Education, in the hopes of one day becoming a Special Education teacher.

Beyond teaching, her passions included horseback riding, and journaling. She is now happily settled in Moscow, Idaho with her loving husband, Christopher, and their adorable son, oliver.

teacher makenna began working for pelc in november of 2021, and has been a great addition to the team! she is a part time assistant float teacher, mainly working at our first location on alturas drive. makenna graduated from homedale high school in 2021 and is currently studying agriculture education and agriculture business at the university of idaho. she has experience babysitting and nannying for multiple families, and has also worked with grades pre-k through 5 through her degree.

teacher kaylee is our baby class lead teacher at site 1 on alturas drive. prior to working at pelc, kaylee was a nanny for four years! she also has experience with young children because two of her younger siblings are under the age of 10. kaylee is from a small town on the other side of the water from seattle, called kingston. she says she enjoys music and in her free time loves to play the guitar!

teacher bailey is a new and wonderful addition to our site 1 team. she is our lead waddler (zebra class) teacher, enriching the minds of our little 1-2 year old friends! bailey graduated from troy high school, and has been a latah county resident for 8 years. after graduating, she grew her experience working with children by teaching at another childcare center in the area. she says she has been working with kids for as long as she can remember! we are glad to have teacher bailey!

Teacher Kaylee: Site 1 Lead Cheetah Class Teacher (6 weeks - 1 year)

Kayla Stinebaugh is the manager at PELC's second location, at 214 N Main St., in Moscow. she has also taken on the role of Lead Pre-K Teacher, and is loving it! Kayla graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor's degree in Accounting in December of 2017. She has an abundance of classroom experience in all age groups working with Palouse Early Learning Center since it's opening in 2007. Kayla is currently back at the u of i, taking classes part time to gain her second bachelor's degree in child development. .

In her free time, Kayla enjoys spending time doing things in the outdoors, including fishing, hunting, camping and hiking. She enjoys spending time with her family and her two labrador retrievers, gus and Piper.

TEACHER DAISY IS A PART TIME ASSISTANT FLOAT TEACHER, PRIMARILY HELPING OUT AT OUR SECOND LOCATION ON MAIN STREET. SHE HAS MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE BABYSITTING AND WORKING WITH YOUNG CHILDREN IN A PROFESSIONAL SETTING. SHE SAYS SHE ENJOYS WORKING WITH KIDS BECAUSE, "I ENJOY SEEING THEM GROW INTO THEIR PERSONALITIES AND I ENJOY MAKING AN IMPACT ON THE LIVES OF THOSE I WORK WITH."

Teacher Kyanna: Site 2 Kitchen Manager

Teacher Tessa has been working as our lead Toddler/Preschool teacher for PELC's Site 2 for over 2 years. Tessa also has an abundance of early childhood experience, including working in in-home daycare settings, as well as other childcare facilities, one of which being PELC back in 2017 as the lead baby teacher. 

In her personal time, she spends it with her husband, son, and two dogs and enjoys going out hiking, fishing, and camping.

Tami Stinebaugh has been the owner/director of Palouse Early Learning Center for more than 15 years. Tami has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and three additional years of training in early childhood development and special education.

“I love PELC because I was able to create a place for families to bring their children where they could feel good about their growth and development,” Tami said. “Helping children to build a strong foundation before entering school is so important to me!”

Tami has three children, ages 26, 22 and 11, and two English bulldogs, Mack and mabel.
She also has a passion for the Oakland Raiders. 
Kyanna is our new kitchen manager at site two! You will find her smiling face cooking up some delicious, healthy meals for our kids, planning our menu and managing our kitchen! she has her medical assistant certificate, as well as over four years of experience working with children ages 6 weeks and up. teacher kyanna also has three kids of her own :) 


"I love watching the kids grow as the days pass. My passion for critters and digging in the dirt has always been my favorite way to teach!" 

teacher avarey is a freshman at the u of i, pursuing a degree in elementary education with a concentration in math. she graduated from idaho arts charter school in 2021, where she frequently volunteered in kindergarten classrooms during her high school years. avarey says she is so excited to work at pelc because teaching is something she enjoys doing and she's excited to make a career out of it. she has found that she loves working with young children and being a part of their educational journey! 


when she is not teaching or attending her classes, avarey loves to dance. she has been dancing since she was 11 years old and is currently a member of the vandal spirit squad. she is also teaching some dance classes as well!
